Marit Swaab is a communications and relationship-management professional with more than two decades of experience in advisory services, stakeholder engagement, public–private collaboration, human resources, and organizational development.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Amsterdam and has completed additional training in project management, including PRINCE2 Foundation. Her professional background in the Netherlands includes advisory and consultancy roles within public employment services, private employment agencies, and socially focused organizations. In these positions, she developed partnerships between public and private institutions, advised professionals on trends and best practices, coordinated training initiatives, supported recruitment and employee development, and contributed to the implementation of new organizational systems.
Since joining World Trade Center Panama in 2014, Marit has been responsible for communications, marketing, digital platforms, public relations, and strategic projects. Her role also includes strengthening relationships within the World Trade Centers Association network, coordinating international collaborations, developing new initiatives, and positioning World Trade Center Panama as a connector between businesses, institutions, and international partners.
A natural networker with a practical and entrepreneurial approach, Marit has a strong ability to connect people, organizations, and ideas. She combines strategic thinking with hands-on project management and is particularly experienced in creating partnerships, developing communications strategies, and turning opportunities into concrete initiatives.
Having lived and worked internationally, Marit brings a multicultural perspective to her work. She is fluent in Dutch, English, and Spanish and is experienced in working across different cultures, sectors, and professional environments.
